News: BoxYard RTP Opening in 2020

If you work out in RTP, you realize pretty quickly that there’s not much in the way of restaurants or entertainment that way. Given its focus as an office park and industrial center, the handful of businesses in the area usually cater to the lunch crowd and keep things pretty basic. So I was excited to hear about the upcoming Boxyard RTP venture! Located in the Frontier RTP innovation campus, Boxyard will be bringing dining, entertainment and a lot more to a convenient location near I-40 and Route 147. I visited a similar development in New Mexico called Greenyard which utilizes standard shipping containers that are usually 8′ wide by 8′ high and 20′ to 40′ long. It’s a cool concept and good option to re-use these commonly, discarded containers. Announcements are slowly trickling out about Boxyard’s clients and it’s looking pretty good so far! I’ll be updating this post with pictures and information as it is received.
