First time I tried this Canadian fried dough and it was FAN-tastic! A crispy and crunchy exterior dusted with sugar and topped with cinnamon on one side, maple-bacon on the other. And then drizzled with some icing, wow!
Malted wheat rolls at Crawford and Son in Raleigh (August 19, 2017)
You might think I’m crazy for loving these rolls but they were AWE-some! Soft, sweet with some sea salt on top and a slightly crunchy bottom, they were perfectly baked and served with some sweet, whipped butter. Sometimes doing the basics really well is all you need. A must-order at Crawford and Son!
